International Drive Visitors Enjoy Parking the Car and Taking the Popular I-Ride Trolley to All the Fun in Orlando's Tourist Corridor!
Since it began in 1997, the I-Ride Trolley has been one of the most popular attractions in the I-Drive Area. Combining the charm of the past with today’s modern comforts, the Trolleys provide an affordable, fun and convenient way to transport visitors to the attractions, shopping and accommodations. At $1.25 for a single adult ride, it is the best bargain to be found on an Orlando vacation!
Combining the charm of the past with today’s modern comforts, this prototype, destination transportation system has logged more than 25.5 million trips since it began service in 1997 including over 2 million in 2011. Each I-Ride Trolley seats 54 riders plus two wheelchair positions and an ADA-specified hydraulic lift system. The system operates 15 trolleys with service from 8 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. daily.
I-Drive area visitors also utilize the Trolley stop marker system. It is easy to navigate with this unique user-friendly marker system that assists pedestrians and drivers looking for a specific destination. When used in conjunction with the I-Ride Trolley route map, the oversized marker signs on both sides of the road make for easy navigation. Detailed, downloadable Trolley maps are available at

Luann Brooks, Executive Director of the International Drive Master Transit & Improvement District which operates the Trolley System, says the District consistently looks for ways to improve the transportation system to make the guest experience a positive one.
“As travelers continue to look for ways to stretch their budgets, the Trolley is more than a way to get from point to point. It allows our guests a chance to park the car and save money on gas. It also gives them a chance to relax and leave the driving to us. They can enjoy the ride and not have to think about missing a turn into their favorite attraction!”
In addition, Brooks says that in the next several months plans are underway for introducing a new fleet of 15 trolleys that incorporate a high tech Automated Vehicle Location System (AVLS) along with fleet management tools.
“It is our intention to stay on the leading edge of the latest technology that is available to enhance the vacation experience as our visitors travel throughout the I-Drive Area. Trolley arrival predictions will be available through Smartphone technology and will allow visitors to plan their trips by accessing a QR tag.”
