United World Soccer, “The WORLD’S GREATEST SOCCER STORE”, opened in July at Festival Bay Mall. Shoppers enjoy an unparalleled soccer shopping experience in the new store next to Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World. United World Soccer has filled its nearly 3,000 square-foot store with apparel, shoes and equipment from the world’s leading soccer brands including Adidas, Nike, and Puma among others. They will already be expanding their store in 2007. The store’s staff has years of playing experience and equipment knowledge as well as unmatched customer service. Shoppers can able to enjoy a game on the giant screen in the store!
XLR8
Outdoor sports enthusiasts have yet another reason to visit Festival Bay Mall. XLR8, a new retail store featuring clothing and accessories for extreme sports has joined the mall's line-up as one of the premiere youth-oriented stores in the market. XLR8 features clothing and accessories for sports extremists and carries everything from shirts and backpacks to videos and rash guards. The clothing is customized to maintain style, comfort and enhance performance. With a focus specifically on motor sports, motor cross, BMX, surfboarding and wakeboarding, XLR8 has items for virtually all terrain sports. The 2,200 square-foot is located next to Book Warehouse near the Cinemark 20 Theatres wing.
New Restaurants & Entertainment!
Bergamo’s Italian Restaurant
Bergamo’s Italian Restaurant is slated to be opened by April 1st. The restaurant, currently located in the Mercado Shopping Center will feature a magical combination of excellent cuisine and musical entertainment. The finest pasta, seafood, veal and certified Angus steaks are served up by the most talented singing waiters anywhere. Nightly entertainment will feature favorites from Broadway musical theatre, Grand Opera, and Neapolitan folk songs performed by talented musical staff. The restaurant will also offer the largest selection of Italian wines in Florida and has been the proud recipient of numerous awards from Wine Spectator Magazine.
Cricketers Arms English Pub & Eatery
Cricketers Arms English Pub & Eatery is slated to be open mid-May. The restaurant, currently in the Mercado Shopping Center, has long been Orlando’s premier authentic English Pub for both locals and those who visit Orlando. Visitors to the restaurant will experience live European sports on TVs throughout the restaurant, an authentic English menu, a wide assortment of beers, lagers, and ales, and some of the most popular live Orlando bands.
Monkey Joe’s
Monkey Joe’s will also be opening a 10,000 square foot operation next to Vans Skatepark and is slated to open mid-April. Monkey Joe's is all about having fun...no matter what your age! Families can stop by for a play-date, a family outing, or just for the heck of it, so their children can take advantage of the inflatable jumps and games. Monkey Joe’s will also have a “parents lounge” with flat screen TVs and a wi-fi area. In addition, they will accommodate children’s birthday parties.

Ron Jon Surfpark
The highly anticipated Ron Jon Surfpark has recently completed its Research & Design Phase in the Training Pool (3-4 foot waves, 30-35 yard rides) with four consecutive days of successful wave tests. During these tests, great waves have been produced! The technology team is now focused on implementation of the Training Pool systems for everyday use. Once these systems have been installed, construction of the Pro Pool (4-8 foot waves, 70-100 yard rides) and the remaining features of the park will begin. As soon as the Pro Pool ground-breaking takes place, the Ron Jon Surfpark opening date will be announced. The 100,000 square-foot park has been designed specifically for surfing, body boarding and surfing lifestyle enthusiasts. It includes three surf pools to accommodate all levels of surfers and body boarders – from beginners to professionals. The pools’ unique, patented technology will allow wave configurations suitable for all riders, with wave offerings covering everything from perfectly peeling three-footers for the “groms,” up to overhead barrels for the pros. The Surfpark will be supported by a professionally staffed surf school offering group and private lessons to all age groups and skill levels.
